Gua

The term ‘gua’ refers to one’s self in a conversation. It’s much akin to the English version of ‘I’. Initially used by non-native Malay speakers, it has been accepted as a common self-referent term in the realm of Mat and Minah Rockers. Nowadays, it is still used by Mat Rock Never Die and a smattering of groups who are hip, cool and happening.
